Technical Interior Designer

Freelance Technical Interior Designer - Workplace/ Commercial

We are currently working with a London based Interior Design studio who are currently looking for a freelance Technical Interior Designer/ CAD technician to support ongoing and upcoming projects.

You'll work closing with the design team to help produce technical drawings and tender packages for office fit-out and refurbishment projects. This is a great opportunity for technically minded people, with a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilties

• Produce detailed technical drawings in AutoCAD from concept through to construction stages.
\n
• Develop and coordinate General Arrangements plans, details designs and construction drawings.
\n
• Ensure drawings comply with UK building regulations
\n
• Support the design team with technical detailing and design coordination.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Must have proven experience with AutoCAD within the commercial/ workplace interior industry, preferably working on CAT B office fit-out projects.
\n
• Advanced experience with AutoCAD, with the ability to produce highly detailed and high-quality technical and construction drawings.
\n
• Strong understanding of commercial fit-out detailing, construction methods and UK building regulations
\n
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
\n
• Ability to work effectively and independently
\n

Desirable Skills

\n
• Revit or other BIM software experience
\n
• Adobe Creative Suite experience
\n

Contract Details

\n
• Competitive day rate - £250-300/day
\n
• Early/Mid July start
\n
• Ongoing contract

• In Studio working

• AutoCAD licence provided
