Senior Business Development Manager

Our client is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join a specialist pensions organisation based in London.

This is a highly commercial and strategic role focused on driving the origination and execution of complex pensions transactions. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in developing opportunities, managing relationships, and supporting deal delivery across a growing and innovative area of the pensions market.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders including trustees, consultants, and legal advisers, as well as representing the business in the wider market through conferences, meetings, and thought leadership. Internally, you will collaborate with actuarial, legal, and operational teams to support the development of transaction proposals and ensure successful execution.

The role combines business development, stakeholder management, and transaction involvement, with opportunities to contribute to strategic planning and pipeline growth. You will also support senior leadership directly, gaining exposure to high-level decision-making and playing a visible role in the future direction of the business.

This opportunity is well suited to individuals with pensions transaction experience, ideally from an insurer, consultancy, or legal background. Candidates are likely to be qualified actuaries, with strong commercial awareness and a proven ability to build and manage relationships across a complex stakeholder environment.

The role requires a confident communicator who is comfortable operating in a client-facing capacity, navigating complex situations, and driving initiatives forward in a dynamic and evolving market.

The position is London-based, with a strong emphasis on in-person engagement across client meetings, industry events, and internal collaboration.
