SEN Teacher

Job Description

Flexzo Teach | SEN Teacher

Flexible and permanent opportunities with a growing specialist educational setting in Manchester.

We connect passionate SEN Teachers with local educational provisions dedicated to high-quality, personalized support. Register to join the local talent pool for an expanding alternative provision in Manchester.

This setting supports young people who thrive outside of mainstream education due to behavioral needs, SEMH challenges, or complex personal circumstances. If you are a proactive, resilient educator who values relationship-building over rigid processes, this startup-style environment offers the perfect space to help shape a developing provision.

Why join Flexzo Teach?

  • Complete control over your schedule and availability.
  • Establish your own daily or hourly rates with full transparency.
  • Say goodbye to agency middlemen and payroll deductions.
  • Connect directly with alternative provisions with no middleman.
  • Lead non-traditional learning and support young people who benefit from specialized care.

What you need

  • QTS/QTLS is desirable but not essential. We warmly welcome experienced Unqualified Teachers, Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs), and Cover Supervisors with strong SEN backgrounds.
  • Proven experience supporting young people with special educational needs or disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorder (ASD), social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, or challenging behaviors.
  • Exceptional confidence and personality, with a natural ability to build trust and rapport with disengaged learners.
  • Valid right to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS (or a willingness to obtain one).
  • The resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-style environment where processes are evolving, and the flexibility to implement adapted curriculum plans.
  • A passion for fostering life skills, confidence, and vocational preparation to help students successfully transition into post-16 pathways, college placements, or apprenticeships.
  • A compassionate, team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills suitable for working alongside parents, external support networks, and local settings.
