We want someone who will help create a home where children feel safe, valued, listened to and supported to achieve their potential.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Deputy Manager, you'll work alongside the Registered Manager to provide outstanding care and leadership within the home.\n\nYou'll spend time both on shift with children and supporting the operational running of the service, helping to ensure every child receives consistent, therapeutic and child-centred care.\n\nYou'll lead by example, support the staff team, promote positive relationships and help create an environment where children can experience stability, belonging and meaningful opportunities.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing\n\nBuilding positive and trusting relationships with children.\nLeading shifts and supporting staff to deliver excellent care.\nPromoting a strong safeguarding culture.\nWorking in a trauma-informed and relationship-based way.\nSupporting children's education, health and independence goals.\nCoaching and developing staff members.\nSupporting the Registered Manager with quality assurance, compliance and Ofsted readiness.\nDeputising for the Registered Manager when required.About You\n\nWe're looking for someone who:\n\nHas experience working in children's residential care.\nHolds a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).\nHas experience leading shifts and supporting colleagues.\nUnderstands safeguarding and children's home regulations.\nIs compassionate, resilient and child-focused.\nCan challenge poor practice while supporting others to develop.\nHolds a full UK driving licence.Why Join Us?\n\nAt The Hamnet Way, we're building homes where both children and staff can flourish.\n\nWe invest in our people, support career progression and believe great outcomes start with great teams.\n\nIf you're passionate about changing children's lives and leading with purpose, we'd love to hear from you.\n\nApply today and help us build futures that last.\n\nIND-INT
