Role Summary\n

With specific expertise in AI, Data Science and Natural Language Processing (NLP), this pre‑sales role collates and synthesises requirements to design and present innovative end‑to‑end solution options to enable deal closure and sell value. The Solution Consultant supports the sales motion through deep knowledge of specific customer workflows and relevant technologies, working in agile Bid Teams to consult on solutions engagements.

Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Bring specialist domain expertise in big data processing, AI, Data Science and NLP to complex customer engagements, including developing use‑cases and coordinating with professional services.
  • \n
  • Collaboratively shape solutions through ideation, specification, documentation and technical design.
  • \n
  • Understand customer‑specific AI and Data Science use cases and data requirements through direct engagement.
  • \n
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders (Partners, Professional Services, Proposition) to meet customer solution needs.
  • \n
  • Run detailed technical customer presentations/workshops for complex proposition deals.
  • \n
  • Work with Professional Services to deliver Proof of Concepts including development/integration work.
  • \n
  • Own and define customer solution proposals and statements of work.
  • \n
  • Ensure collaboration with post‑sales professional services/implementation and customer success teams.
  • \n
Qualifications\n
    \n
  • University degree in Information Technology or Engineering.
  • \n
  • Data Science expertise with a focus on NLP projects.
  • \n
  • Practical experience in programming and scripting languages.
  • \n
  • Previous pre‑sales experience with software and technical products is highly valued.
  • \n
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of the product selling cycle.
  • \n
  • Basic knowledge of web protocols such as HTTP, XML and JSON.
  • \n
  • Understanding of the financial industry, including buy‑side, sell‑side and wealth management.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of finance industry data feeds and regulation.
  • \n
  • Experience with Web Service APIs and WebSocket APIs.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in Python for prototyping and showcasing POCs.
  • \n
  • Working knowledge of NLP libraries in Python, R or Spark.
  • \n
  • Experience with NoSQL databases and data ingestion/munging activities.
  • \n
  • Experience with AWS and GCP services for data science workflows.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • \n
  • Understanding of transfer‑learning models and their application to alternative data in finance.
  • \n
  • Ability to implement off‑the‑shelf NLP models for specific use cases.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting the sale of software/data solutions in complex environments.
