PAYROLL AND PERSONNEL OFFICER

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled payroll officer who is flexible and able to provide an effective and efficient payroll and pensions service, and to provide high quality financial and administrative support.

The post-holder will take full responsibility for the College's in-house payroll service (Sage payroll) and so the successful candidate must be experienced in a broad range of payroll processing duties. In addition the job involves pensions’ administration and recording and administration of all external training undertaken by college staff

This is a temporary full time position to cover the current postholder’s maternity leave to start in early October. The position is 37 hours per week and is a full year post i.e. the postholder is expected to work outside of term-time.

You will work closely with the Personnel Manager and will need to display good organisational skills in this high-pressured environment. You will undertake a wide range of administrative duties and will need to display good time-management skills.

These posts involve working with young people and vulnerable adults and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records at an enhanced level. Further information about the Disclosure Scheme can be found at www.crb.gov.uk.
